Immersive and Interactive Procedure Training Simulator for High Risk Power Line Maintenance

About

VR-Thor is a procedure training simulator targeted at maintenance of overland powerlines. It is focused on workplace safety and risk assessment of common and extreme maintenance scenarios, simulating effects as wind, storm, fire, explosions, night, deffective equipment, and many environment obstacles.

The simulation system is implemented using VR Googles (Oculus Rift) and a mixture of a real scenario matched perfectly with its Virtual Reality counterpart through optical trackers.
